The main reason why I’m doing this and by this I mean
attending all that long boring classes excluding the 307 course which I consider
it a very interesting and full of fun course (I hope Mr. Gregory reads this). I almost forgot what I was about to say, the
main reason I’m doing this is to help me get a better and more interesting job than
my current job.
The 307 professional communication course helped me making
my first CV ever, where in the Army where I work I didn’t have to make one. In the
future when I finish my bachelor degree, I don’t have to worry about making a
professional CV as I already make one during this course as it was the first
thing we have learnt at the beginning of the semester followed by making a cover letter
that will be attached with the CV.
After doing CVs and cover letters, we did a job interview
with Mr. Gregory as we are doing a real one. I was a bit nervous before the
interview, but everything went well at that day. Mr. Gregory told us what we
should say and what we shouldn’t.
Another thing we did in the 307 course is business meeting,
where we learned how to be prepared for a real meeting. So we did attend a
meeting as we were a group of four students. I was the minutes taker where I was
responsible for taking the minutes during the meeting. I had to summarize the
important points that been said in that meeting by the other members. I also
learned writing an agenda for the meeting. It was a great experience.
Last but not least, we had to write a report about our study
major, so we wrote about the information security, and then we conducted a
presentation in front of the rest of the class. In my point of view, we did well
in the presentation as we followed what Mr. Gregory has taught us.
In conclusion, I would like to say that the 307 course was
an interesting and a very useful course that helped improving my skills a lot. What
I loved the most in this course is interacting with my team members where I spend
a great Unforgettable time
with them. And I also like to thank Mr. Gregory for all the great effort he
showed during the course.
Good work, but missing meeting agenda?! Yes, I do read the blogs...
